Obituary of Michael Robert Foster

Michael Robert Foster May 29, 1953 - September 4, 2015 It is with deep loss and sadness that we announce the passing of Mike. His wife Sandy (nee Boyer) will miss him deeply. He was a proud father to MaryAnn (Wayne Heffernan) and a loving step-father to Stefanie Helbich (fianc"e Rick Morton), Katrina & Dan Ranchuk, Alex & Missy Helbich, and Andrew Helbich. Mike will be missed by his grandchildren LeeAnn and Jordan Heffernan and Sarah & Emily Hodgins. His brother Geoff and sisters Cindy VanDyk & Doug Innes and Deena & Joe Lieb will cherish their memories. Sisters-in-law Christine & Jack Blenkinsop, Sharon and Shelley Boyer will also miss Mike. Mike has volunteered for many years, retired from Chrysler, in 2004. Sandy considered him her soul mate. He was so kind and giving. She was so proud of him - he volunteered his time for Habitat for Humanity, Border City Brawlers (Roller Derby) and loved helping his friends at his aquafitness classes at (what was) Lifestyle Fitness on Dougall. He also tolerated Sandy's crafting quirks and loved to shop with her at any mall on either side of the border. He had his own shoe fetish and loved dressing up to look classy, medieval or whatever. He was such a card and an inspiration to so many in Windsor-Essex County. A Living Celebration will be held for Mike on Friday September 11th at the Fox Glen Golf Course, 6:00 p.m., 7525 Howard Avenue, McGregor, ON.
