SUTHERLAND, Carman Allister (Aug. 22, 1940 - Aug. 28, 2015) passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, after a short battle with cancer. Survived by his true soul mate Kathleen Sutherland (MacLean), with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Loving father of Nancy (Dan) Meunier, Patty (Martin) Reaume, Jason (Christie) and Chad (Rachelle). Eight grandchildren will remember their close relationship with their "Papa" - Jaime and Dean Meunier, Matthew and Kaitlyn Reaume, McKayla Symons and Peyton, Quinn and MacLean Sutherland. Predeceased by his parents Alexander Sutherland and Bertha (Don) Monroe. Survived by his siblings, Jack (Sally), Ruth (late-Stan), Clarence (Mable), Carol (Eugene), Janet (Bob) and the late Mac (Vivian) and Betty. Dear Brother-in-law to Grant (late-Jean), Isobel (late-Gilbert), Ruth (Fletcher) and Sharon (Donnie). He will be dearly missed by his many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends; especially Gene and Trudy Cloutier. Carman was a long time employee of CenterLine (Windsor) Ltd. for 39 years until his retirement in 2003. He was a man who always put his family first and loved spending time with them (especially card nights). Carman enjoyed camping, bowling, curling, coaching baseball and eating lobster. The family would like to thank Archdeacon R. Matthewman, Rev. Canon D. Hull, Dr. Aoun, Dr. Freeman and all the wonderful nurses who gave compassionate care. On Wednesday Sept 2, 2015, at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church (3200 Woodland Ave.), there will be a visitation starting at 10 am with a memorial service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Carman can be made to your local food bank. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE CREMATION CENTRE 519-254-2585
