Obituary of Valerie Veronica Ujvary
UJVARY, Valerie (nee Bonivart) Passed away peacefully Nov. 2, 2014 at age 69. She had her loving husband and family by her side. Valerie and family immigrated to Canada from Hungary in 1989. While in Hungary, she worked as an administrative assistant to the president of the Hungarian National Radio in Budapest. Once in Canada, she learned the English language and became a homemaker. Valerie loved life, jokes, flowers, traveling " her favorite place was Sarasota, Florida. But most of all she loved her family. She will be missed by her husband " and best friend of 48 years " Laszlo, her children, Laszlo Jr., Tibor, Csilla Parsell (Jerry), her brothers Arthrur Bonivart (Elizabeth), Erwin Bonivart, Laszlo Bonivart (Barbro), Istvan Bonivart (Gizella) and sister Adel Scholtz, as well as many nieces and nephews. Further, many friends in Canada, US, Sweden, and Hungary will miss Valerie. Predeceased by parents Antal and Veronika Bonivart and brother Antal Bonivart. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Parish (2015 Balfour Blvd., Windsor, Ontario) for 10:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre 519-254-2585. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in choice of Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, where Valerie received excellent care for nearly three years, while she bravely battled this terrible disease or Mindszenty Hall, The Hungarian Cultural Center where she enjoyed the company of her friends.
