Obituary of Maurice Herlehy

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our dear father on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 83 years of age. Maurice fought a courageous battle with cancer, however; succumbed to the challenges that followed. Predeceased by his loving wife, June Herlehy (2013) and his parents Francis and Therese Herlehy. Loving brother to the late Dave (2023), Roger (2006), Richard (1996), Basil (1970), and Gerald (1965). He will be sorrowfully missed by his brother Michael (Patti) and sister Theresa (Bob) and his sisters-in-law Agnes, Corrine, Peggy, Sandy and Carrie. Maurice is survived by his loving children Dennise (Bob), Laurie (Gary), Vincent (Caron/Kim), Loni (Don) and predeceased by his son-in-law Brian. Cherished grandfather to Kristy (Danny), Brenlyn (Chuck), Colleen (Rob), Megan (Clay), Courtney, Jessica (Blake) and Joshua. Great-grandfather to Christopher, Brylor, Payton and Mia. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Loving friend to Robbi-Jo. Maurice was adored by his special furry friends Jack and Jasper. Maurice was a caring man who lived life in stride. As the owner of Windsor Tree Service for over 50 years, his skills were outstanding. Maurice loved reminiscing about his work on the big ships travelling the great lakes and working with horses. His great sense of humour and Irish twinkling eyes will always be remembered. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at WRH – Met Campus. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
