Obituary of Gerard Andre Janisse

Gerard André Janisse - October 19, 1955 - April 16, 2023 Beloved husband and Best friend of Colleen Rose Janisse. Cherished brother of J.P., Sue (Paddy), Paul (Mary), Marc (Carol), Jeanine (Hoby - deceased), Josette (Brady), Jerome (Rose), Jacques (Tina), David (Shana). Beloved brother-in-law of Lyle (Donna). Predeceased by his parents Jean Louis and Dora Marie Janisse and his partners in crime Harold and Daisy Mayville (in-laws). Adored by his chosen sister Vivian. Gerard had a laugh that could light up a room. He found humour in most things. He loved spending time with all his nieces and nephews and God-children. He was a soft touch for any and all animals, most recently his beloved Rascal. Gerard worked at the Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority Landfill for 38 years. He was very, very creative. He loved quilting, needlework and wood working. He made many beautiful things. We will greatly miss this kind-hearted, loving, generous man, a husband and best friend. Visitation at 10 am Wednesday April 26th at Christ Anglican Church at 317 Ramsay Street in Amherstburg. Followed by a mass to celebrate his life at 11 am.
