Darlene and I were in high school at the same time. She was the very nicest person. Giving me a surprise 16th birthday party was one of the best things in my life that has happened.
I'm so sorry that we lost contact. My only excuse is a job and raising a family.
I will never forget her friendship and lovely smile.

Since Donnie, Darlenes Son is married to our Daughter Cheryl we definitely got to know her. She was very beautiful, dressed in fashion and of course always hD her hair in the latest styles. She got diagnosed about the same time as I was having a health issue and she was so kind by offering me reading materials for improving health and even came up to the our cottage to share a foot and leg machine for me to use. You don't forget a beautiful lady like Darlene. We love you Donnie and Cheryl.

I first met Darlene when we were in Grade 8 at Ecole Brebouef. Our family had just moved to Stoney Point and when I went to the school I knew no one. I would say that she was the first friend I made at that time and we remained friends over all those years. That would have been in 1955.
Darlene was a free-spirited person and was always smiling. We did not see each other very often in those years, but when we sat down to talk it was as if we had just seen each other.
My condolences to you, Bill and Donnie, and your family.
