Obituary of Marie ELLA Locke

Ella Locke (nee Amirault) - 91 years old It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Ella Laura Locke on April 2, 2023 in Windsor, Ontario. Pre-deceased by parents Rodolphe Amirault and Mary Amirault. Also pre-deceased by siblings Stanley, William, Doris (Adolph), Anita (Art), Charlie (Laura) and Wally (Mary Lou). Ella was the last of her family. Survived by husband, Dorman, of 74 years; children Donna, Brenda (Ted), Ted (Tui), Dave (Karen) and Steven (Kim). Also she was Nana to 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Also Aunt (Tante) to many, many nieces and nephews. All the family loved Ella as she was a sweet, quiet person who loved cats, cooking for her family, knitting, playing cribbage and going to bingo with Mary Lou back in the day. She and Dorman had an open door to their home to all the family and to friends welcoming them with good food, laughs and loving care. Ella remained her sweet self until the end and will be greatly missed. She is now at peace. The family thanks the staff at Heron Terrace (LTC) and Chartwell Oak Park Terrace Retirement Residence in Windsor, Ontario for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place (arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation Centre). A private celebration of life will be planned later this spring
