Obituary of Imre Szabo

SZABO, Imre (James) November 30th, 1938 – March 30th, 2023 It is with great sadness we announce that Imre (James) Szabo passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 84. Born in Hajduboszormeny, Hungary. Brother to Katalin (Hungary), predeceased by Roza (Hungary), and Antal (Hungary). Beloved husband of Ilona “Helen” (Kardos) for 53 years. Loving father to Andras and Robert (Cheryl). Proud Papa to Angeline, Kersen, Alexander and Calvin. Imre “Jimmy” retired from Titan Tool and Die Limited in Windsor after 42 years of service as a shop foreman. He was a hardworking husband and father. He loved to tend to his garden, make wine and work with machines. Until we meet again you will missed everyday. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare Palliative Care Unit and Dr. Siraj Ben Musa for the compassionate care he received. As per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare or The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
