Obituary of Noreen Nikosey

Noreen Nikosey (nee Clark) September 7, 1946 – March 29, 2023 It is with great sadness we announce that Noreen has passed away peacefully with family by her side, following a sudden stroke, at the age of 76. Cherished daughter to the late Kennard and late Alice. Noreen was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. She was the devoted wife to John Nikosey for 54 years. She was a loving Mother to John Jr., the late Jeffery, Jason (Michelle) and Jodi (Daniel). The most caring Grandmother to Josh, Ryan, Jordan, Justin, Ardan, and Nate. Noreen began her young years as a bank teller at CIBC, where she first honed her skill for counting and sorting money. When her children began having milestone moments for the babysitter, she respectfully chose to remain exclusively at home. It was Noreen that introduced John to the idea of owning a bowling alley, convincing him to move the family to the county and become owners of Empire Lanes. She headed the junior bowling program throughout her time as a co-proprietor. Noreen continued her skills of money handling as co-owner to multiple small businesses with John. Noreen loved cooking for her family, leading Sunday meals with a generous heart, for anyone who showed up at the door. She will be forever in our hearts. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Hotel Dieu Grace, Ouellette Campus, ICU, for their care. The nursing team was incredible. Per Noreens’ request, cremation has taken place.
