Obituary of Margaret Lucier

Margaret Stus Lucier Match 8,1930 - March 9,2023 Maggie was born in Windsor, in 1930. She grew up on her parent's farm, enjoying her days working on the farm with her family and their animals. Maggie embraced hard work and never backed down from a challenge. She married Frank Lucier in 1948, and enjoyed 16 years of marriage until Frank passed away in 1964. Maggie worked in factories for much of her adult life. Outside of work, she enjoyed lifelong friendships with her friends and neighbors. While she didn't have children of her own, she loved spending time with the neighborhood children, and treated them as her own. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephew, as well as their children and grandchildren. Maggie was a great cook and baker, and was well known for her stuffed peppers, crepes, hummingbird cake and pies. Maggie loved spending much of her summers after she retired in Lexington, MI at her sister and brother in law's (Mary and John Cozma) on Lake Huron. She cherished the time with her sister and family and her hummingbirds! Maggie held a special place in the family, and always embraced and encouraged the mischief of her "little Iodines". She also made sure to teach them how to sweep the porch properly and how to cook crepes the "right" way. Maggie moved into the Village of Aspen Lake in 2014, and became a beloved neighbor in the Belle River neighborhood. She enjoyed making her neighbors and staff laugh, and pinching unsuspecting people whenever they were near. She loved visits from her friends and family, and spending time with her lifelong friends, the Klein and Dagenais families. Maggie loved to say, "I love you more" whenever someone said "I love you". We love you, Mags
