Q: What will you never forget about Donna?
A: Mrs. Harvey was a larger than life woman in my childhood. We were next door neighbours growing up and she was one of my Mom’s best friends and supports. Mrs. Harvey was “in charge” of everything in her family and handled the boys, dogs and all the mischief we could think up with patience and humour. Though sometimes she would have to get the paddle out and take care of “you birds”. Nothing seemed to faze her and many situations were taken care of quickly and matter of fact. She and our Mom would often chat across the fence. Mrs. Harvey hanging out her laundry in the cold of winter with only a sweater on and Mom shivering and freezing in her many layers of warm clothing. Raising a large family was a more than full time occupation but, she always had time to chat and give us good advice when asked. This is an end to an era for all of us who grew up together on Moy Avenue. We enjoyed a carefree childhood full of fun and adventure knowing we were surrounded by love and the watchful eyes of the many stay at home Mom’s of a time that was truly golden. All my love to Kevin and Mark.

Grief is love that has no where to go. Thinking of you Mark and Kevin and the great loss of your mom. My memories of childhood are filled with those of my dear Mrs. Harvey, her patience with us “birds” and love she always had shown for me, Brenda, Paul and my mom. She was a treasured friend of my mom and she kept my mom ‘alive’ through fond recollections. Forever in my heart.xox

I will miss all the good times we all had together and thank you for listening to me when I needed someone to talk to. You were always kind and had a big heart and would help anyone in need. You will be missed but never forgotten and now you can fly with the angels and Uncle Jim and Lyle, Anne Marie, Young Jim, and the rest of our family who have passed. We love you and send prayers and condolences to all the family. Kerri, Conrad, Brandon and Jaden Mitchell
