Obituary of Gerda Sistek

Gerda Luise Sistek (nee Kettner) May 20,1928 - December 18, 2022 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerda Luise on December 18, 2022. Predeceased by husband Wenzel (1988). She is survived by son Bernhard (Bernie) and daughter-in-law Barbara (McMullen) . Cherished Oma of Teresa Champagne (Craig) and Christine Chauvin (James) as well as five great grand children. She leaves behind sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in Germany where she was born. Gerda, a very independent woman, was an accomplished seamstress, passionate gardener, and avid reader. She will be remembered for her delicious Sunday dinners, Christmas cookies, and her home baked bread. Cremation has already taken place Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation (Wyandotte), If you so wish, donations can be made to the Windsor Essex Hospice.
