Obituary of Douglas Bruce Gow

GOW, Douglas "Doug" Bruce April 27, 1955 - October 18, 2022 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas "Doug" Bruce Gow on October 18, 2022 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife Karen of 47 years. Cherished father to Kristen (Jason). Missed by grandchildren Aiden, Ashley, Richard, and Bryan. Forever remembered by his siblings Joanne (Moe), Glen, and Larry (Kathy) and sisters-in-law Marylin (Gary), Carolyn (Art), and Sherry (Fred). Predeceased by his parents William "Bill' and Ilene Gow as well as siblings Donnie, Jimmy, Mickey, Ruth, Marilyn, and Cathy. Doug will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Our family has been supported by many wonderful, and caring people and we would like to extend thanks to Jason Simpson for all of your support, Brandon for making meals, and many friends and family for their love and support. The staff at Windsor Regional Hospital (Ouellette Campus) that took such good care of Doug during his stay, CTU nursing staff, as well as the Hospice staff, nurses, and many volunteers, and all the team at V.O.N. - this will not be forgotten. His care team of compassionate and caring doctors and nurses, Dr. Zhgal, Dr. Jervis, Dr. Tremblay, Dr. Bergeron, Dr. Seski, and Dr. Cargill for your patience and compassion. Doug received the best care throughout his journey. You are all so amazing. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at St. John's Anglican Church at 12:00pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
