I can't begin to imagine a world without my best friend, Dot was clever, funny, kind, compassionate and above all loyal. I have so many beautiful memories, and will always remember the laughter and happiness we shared. Thankyou, my dear, dear friend for 43 years of love and friendship.❤

I have so many fond memories of you being a big part of my childhood. All the many times I spent at your house with Michelle growing up and all the many lovely outings we had on bike rides, picnics and visits to nice places including a visit to see you while you were living in Canada. I’ll always remember your smile, your great sense of humour and how caring you were. You were loved by everyone who came into your life. I promise you, I’ll always take care of Michelle. You will be missed dearly. Love you always x x x x x x x x x x

No words can say how I feel.
Dot was the most loving, caring, kind, clever and funniest person I know.
I didn’t choose her as my sister but I did choose her as my best friend.
Will love you always Dot xxxx

My mum
You always seem to know whats wrong,
before i have to say,
you seem to know whats on my mind,
or if i'm down that day.
I never have to ask for help,
you're always there to guide me,
if at times i need support,
your always there beside me.
You've been my rock throughout my life, wanting nothing in return,
You’ve made me who I am today,
helping me to grow and learn.
Thank you will never be enough,
for everyhing you've done,
You're my friend, my counsellor,
my guardian angel,
but most importantly…
My Mum xx

The world will be a sadder place without my friend Dot.
I am reminded of many times we laughed together, from rolling up Derby road mid-afternoon, after more than one or two drinks too many at our works Christmas party. Totally unladylike!
To the many times we would go out for meals and no matter what was on the menu it was only one thing she loved and ordered. Lasagna
Dot, your strength and courage to choose the paths in life which we’re right for you has always inspired me.
God bless and keep you safe.
Love Gillian

Dot was a brave, funny and kind woman and I was proud to walk beside her during our strike as a Sister. Her sly jokes and giggles made everyone around her lighter! I will miss the stories and pics of her grandkids! She was so happy when she spoke of them! I will always remember her fondly.

Dot was a magnificent woman who was smart, funny, kind, creative and brave. Her friendship was incredibly special and I’ll think of her and miss her every day. It’s impossible to understand and accept the loss of someone who still had so much to give. My deepest condolences to her beloved children Ady and Michelle. And to Kirsten and Wayne. And to her kindred spirit Sophie as well as Billy and Freddie. She talked of all of you often. And to Michael, her fierce champion and stalwart companion whose devotion and care was unflagging. My heart enfolds you all.
