Obituary of Claudette Louise St. Louis
Our precious mother, Claudette Louise St. Louis (nee David), at 79 years of age, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1st, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Henri (2017). Wonderful mother to her daughter Nicole (David Mike Bacarro), and her son Todd. Cherished Mémé to Aidan and Connor. Loving daughter of the late Joseph and Elmira David, sister to Lawrence David (Sandra), Shirley DenBraven (late Don), and the late Denise Malicke (Jake). Sister-in-law to the late Clarence and Marlene St. Louis, late Romeo St. Louis (Jackie), and the late Lucille St. Louis. Claudette will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Claudette was born in Michigan. She often spoke of her love for shopping at Crowley’s and Hudson’s. She went to St. Cecilia’s high school where she played basketball and baseball. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends drinking milk shakes and dancing in her “Saddle oxford shoes”. She worked at GM on West Grand Boulevard, and loved her job there. She also had a great love for her 1968 Gun Metal Grey Camaro and was proud to be the president of the Ricky Nelson Fan Club. Claudette will be remembered for her love of baking and cooking. Getting her hair done was something she loved to do once a week; she would bring hot homemade apple cider for everyone in the salon to enjoy. Her time spent at the family cottage in Stoney Point was something she spoke about all the time. It was there she had earned the nickname “Ladybird”. Christmas will always be remembered as she would show up with big Santa bags full of gifts for her grandchildren. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to all the staff at Sun Parlor, Leamington for their compassion, and professional care she received during her stay. Words cannot express your kindness and empathy. Thank you to all of our friends and family. Your thoughts, prayers, words, text messages, and gifts are greatly appreciated during this difficult time. Claudette is now happily with her husband Henri where they will celebrate their 50th anniversary on September 30th. Cremation has taken place. There will be no service planned as per her wishes. Donations can be made in her memory to Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall), 519-254-2585.
