Obituary of Patricia Ann Marshall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, aunt, sister and special friend, Patricia Marshall, in her 83rd year, on Thursday, August 4, 2022. “Aunt Pat” is survived by her son, Paul, by brother Gord and sisters Jan, Mary-Jo and Maureen, and by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Wayne, Tom and Chris, and sisters Rose and Sharon. Born at the family home on King Street, Amherstburg, Pat received her formal education in Amherstburg. After finishing school, she moved west for a few years, living and working in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia. While living in British Columbia Pat met Carol Chetney. They became life-long friends. Pat eventually moved back to Amherstburg where she worked at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce until her retirement. Pat worked extremely hard through her formidable years, and was justifiably proud of her many accomplishments. She was also fiercely proud of her family. Those who loved her will always cherish the memories of the many family events Aunt Pat hosted. Her sense of humour was infectious; her zest for life obvious. Ever there to lend a sympathetic ear and to help a family member or friend in need, her presence and contributions to those around her will be sorely missed and her help dearly remembered. The family extends a sincere thank-you to the Leamington hospital and staff for their compassionate care of Patricia. A private family service followed by cremation has taken place. A celebration of Patricia’s life will take place at a later time and place to be announced. In remembrance of Patricia, donations in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
