Obituary of Shirley "Ann" Hasson

Shirley “Ann” Hasson February 17, 1938 – July 13, 2022 Passed away peacefully at Windsor Hospice with her family by her side. Beloved daughter of the late Garnet and Olive (McCallum) Wilson. Cherished mother to Debra, Robert, Donna (Dwayne), David (Kimberly), and Dennis (Angie), and Tracey Prouse (dear friend of the family). Loving grandmother to Rachel, Alora, Dawn, Parker, Annika, Joelle, Tess, and Oliver. Loving sister and sister-in-law to Larry and Judy, Joel, and predeceased by Doug (2003), Maggie (2016), and Margie (2022). Ann was born in Chatham township and moved to the Windsor-Essex area to raise a family with her husband George (2001). She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Ann was a very hard worker and spent many years working as a bookkeeper for various companies. She also worked as a cashier at Caesars Windsor for many years. Ann valued her working relationships and remained friends with her coworkers after retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin and could always be counted on to help with the yearly projects. She was a proud member of the Hasson Hunt Club and will forever be remembered as the matriarch of the family. Special recognition goes out to the medical staff of Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus ICU and 8th Floor where she received exceptional care.
