Obituary of James Stott

It is with sadness we announce the passing of James Stott. He is predeceased by his mother and father Grace (2001) and Charles Stott (1967). Also predeceased by his wife Rhea (1984), daughter Suzanne Parks (2016) and loving sister Betty St.Clair (2007). Jim will be missed by wife Doris, daughters Karen Hunter (Kim), Lisa Pizzo ( Ralph) and son in-law Richard Parks. He was a proud papa to Heather, James, Mary and Krystin. Great grandpa to Olivia, Griffin, Wyatt and Ryan. Jim was proud of the many years he was a district manager at Work Wear Corporation of Canada and in his retirement loved working at Home Depot. He said it gave him a sense of purpose and accomplishment. He loved helping others. Jim was also the Governor of District A1 of the Lions Club and loved to serve his community. Although proud of his Canadian citizenship, one of Jim’s first loves was England where he grew up and was sure to instill the pride of being English and the British stiffer upper lip ( at least he tried) with his three daughters. He enjoyed traveling and was fortunate enough to visit Hawaii, Barbados, his homeland of Britain (several times) as well as many other wonderful locations. Jim enjoyed building and home renovations. He particularly loved sitting in his Villa Grange he constructed in Dee’s beautiful garden and watching his fish in the pond. He was an avid Spitfire fan and enjoyed attending games. Jim’s family would like to thank the Villages of St. Clair staff particularly Sarah and Ryan for the care he received. A private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate this exceptional man’s life. If desired memorial donations to The Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke or MS Society of Canada would be appreciated.
