Obituary of Lawrence Normand Matte

MATTE, Lawrence "Larry" Normand March 19, 1944 - July 5, 2022 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Larry after a brief and courageous battle from cancer. He was a devoted family man and died peacefully with his family by his side. Larry will be reunited with his wife Eileen (nee Labute, November 5, 2021). Larry leaves behind his children Sherry Ann Pender and Glenn Matte (Tracey). Dear Pepe to Kristy (Goober) and Terry Pender. Recent Great Pepe to granddaughters Sophia and Ella. Larry will be greatly missed by his brother Raymond (the late Bev) and predeceased by his brother Donald and sister Leona. Son of the late Elizabeth "Betty." Loved brother-in-law to Evelyn Raymond (the late Lino Baggio) and Madeleine Gaffan (Charles) and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by furbaby Meeka. Larry was a dispatcher at Inter City Truck Lines for many years and retired truck driver from Morris Transportation. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. One of Dad's favourite songs was 'On the Road Again' and now he is free to get back behind the wheel that he loved up in Heaven. Special thank you to the staff at Metropolitan Hospital and his home care nurse Lisa. As per Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial will be arranged at a later date.
