Obituary of Patricia Margaret McAuley

McAuley, Patricia Margaret May 16, 1949 – June 26, 2022 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia McAuley announces her passing on June 26, 2022 at the age of 73 after a brief battle with cancer. Cherished mother to Sandi McAuley (Bryson Connolly) and Jason McAuley. Loving sister to Philip Metz (Sharon-Ann), Sharon Daniels, Marybeth Waters, Thomas Metz (Mary). Predeceased by her father George Metz, her mother Katherine Metz, and her brother Bud Metz. Dearly missed by her two precious cats, Andy and Freddy. They have found a safe loving home together for which she was so grateful and was able to rest easy knowing that they were cared for. Patricia is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Cammie Ridley was there for Patricia in more ways than one over the years. Our family can never thank you enough for all that you have done. Patricia thought of Cammie as one of the family. We would like to thank the many neighbours’ that helped her out over the years, especially Dean and Linda. The Chand family has been the host family for her beloved son Jason for many years and was a part of her extended family. To the entire Hospice team at Erie Shores campus, our family can never thank you enough for the care and comfort that my mother received while she was there. Through hard work, dedication and compassion of the volunteers and employees, she received the best end-of-life care imaginable. As per Patricia’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
