Obituary of Barbara Mae Sadai

SADAI, Barbara Mae (nee Daynes) With deep sorrow, and with gratitude for a life well-lived, Barbara’s family announces her passing on June 3, 2022 at the age of 81. Barbara was born in Windsor on October 19, 1940 to the late Vida and John (Russ) Daynes. She was a loving mother of six children, doting grandmother to 15, and proud great-grandma (GiGi) of 5. Barbara’s family was everything to her, and she worked tirelessly to provide for her children and to eventually spoil her grandkids. She retired from Zehrs in 2005 after many years of service. In her free time, Barbara was an avid bowler and card player. As a mother, grandmother, and friend, she personified patience, generosity, and kindness. She will be greatly missed, particularly by her children Wendy, Rob (Jenn), Gerry (Lisa), Tim (Kim), and Jennifer, her grandchildren, and many members of her extended family. We trust that her beloved daughter, Jodi (2020), and her cherished brother, Donnie (2016), were waiting to welcome her as she passed. Barbara’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff and volunteers of The Hospice of Windsor who took such good care of her in her final days. If desired, donations in Barbara’s honour to The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County (Windsor Campus) would be appreciated by the family.
