Obituary of John Bryans

BRYANS, John June 23, 1930 - June 3, 2022 John Bryans passed away peacefully at the age 91 on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Windsor Hospice after a courageous battle against cancer. John was born in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland on June 23, 1930. He was predeceased by his 3 brothers (James, William, and Thomas) and his 2 sisters (Christine and Margaret). He is survived by his wife of 71 years Jean (nee Hume) and 6 children, Virginia Henry (Brian), David Bryans (Jan), Alan Bryans, Joanne Caissie (Curtis), John Bryans (Louise), and Dan Bryans (Heather). He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. John emigrated from Northern Ireland at the age of 20 to come to Canada to make a better life for his family. He was retired from the City of Windsor. Throughout his life he made many personal sacrifices for the good and love of his family. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who led by words and deeds and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He is dearly loved by his family and many friends and will be missed by all. "See you on the other side Darlin" In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor for their exceptionally kind and compassionate care given to John in his final days.
