I met Philip back in the day when a whole lifetime was ahead to look forward to. His Mom (Cassie) was a gem and did such a good job laying the foundation of the wonderful man Philip turned out to be! I have fond memories of passing time with him & his parents (when his pops was visiting) on Bloomfield Rd. He is in good company with his loved ones who had passed. Love you buddy! Rock on!

Heartfelt condolences A Poem written by Cassie: "I'll start on that journey, going down the road Leave a note saying bye bye To All the folks I know. I'll leave a letter to my loved ones To show I am at peace with the Lord Then, I'll blow them all a kiss And tiptoe out the door." Together alas.. Such a beautiful love of a Son and his beautiful Mother.. God Bless all the members of the Grenon Family taken -- The bells rang while each of them recieved their wings..

My condolences to Phil's family. I fondly remember him from the west side. The times when he & his buddies would get together & play for the neighborhood. Our trips on transit Windsor when he would talk about his new position selling spices, way back in the day. May he rest in peace.

My favorite memory related to our band days, was the year 1978. It was the place to be as a rocker. "The Battle of the Bands" that was held at Mic Mac Park. There was easily 400-500 people. There was myself on drums, Phil on rhythm and lead, and Jeff Chase on bass and lead vocals. Normally, you would have to sign up in advance and register to play. We missed the deadline, but thought, lets go down anyway and see if they will let us play anyway. At first we got a flat out NO!. But Jeff Chase being the smooth talker he was, convinced them to let us play. We went up and played "Just what the Doctor Ordered" by Ted Nugent, "Young Lust" by Pink Floyd, and "Bridge of Sighs" by Robin Trower. To our amazement, we place in the top 5 bands out of what I believe was about 12-15 bands at the time. We got to play the second night. We didn't win, but its an experience I will never forget!

First, My condolences to Sheryl and Phil's daughter's. My memories of Phil are mostly of our times when we would get together for his birthdays or him and Sheryl coming over to our get togethers. I loved listening to Phil's, Rodney's and Larry's stories and how silly they could be being so called men. I wish there could be more new stories to listen to, but God has other things planned for him to create stories in heaven. I truly will miss him...Phil I will miss your laugh. When I would hear you laugh it made me feel happy.. Love you..Patty...p.s. Rodney is not going to like this, but too bad..Go Leafs.

It's really hard to believe that Phil is gone...My condolences to Sheryl and Phil's daughter's...are there stories about Phil Ofcourse there is and they will be with us until our time. Am I sad yes, but I'm so glad that God has taken Phil and brought him to his choir to sing to his Mother whom he missed dearly. I'm sorry if I'm selfish in my feelings, but I didn't want Phil to suffer because I love him. As we grew up I was lucky to watch him turn into the man he has become those are the memories I will be thinking about when I think of My friend Phil...until we again Phil I love you...The photo is of Phil baby faced and all...check out the hair taken in the 70's

Oh my I have plenty!! In 1984 I knew of Phil but not personally. I was going on my first date with Larry. Phil and Larry lived in the upper duplex on South St. I lived on Sandwich St one block away.I was to meet Larry at his place. I go up to the house and opened the first door. I looked up the long flight of stairs and all I could see was two sets of legs then realized what was going on. Phil wanted to make sure Larry looked perfect for our date. I chuckled but stayed quiet so I did not embarrass them. Phil was tugging and smacking at Larry’s pant legs to make sure they were wrinkle and lint free. It was like a mother making sure his son looked perfect for this date. I stepped back so they could not see me and knocked on the door. This all makes sense now because if you know Phil he liked to dress to perfection. This memory has always stuck in my head.

To the Grenon Clan - my deepest sympathy for your loss. Phillip & I were friends on Bloomfield, he taught me how to play "Smoke on the Water" and how to throw a mean curve ball. We used to have alot of fun together with all the other "brats of Bloomfield" lol. So happy he stuck with his music all these years, he had an amazing talent. Big hugs to you all. Jerry McIsaac on behalf of the McIsaac Clan from 3365 Bloomfield.

Dear Sheryl. I am so saddened to hear of Phil's passing. I didn't know you were family when we met up at the hospital. My son was adopted and we found out a few years ago that Gary is his birth father. So Phil would be his birth uncle. This world is so unbelieveably small. My husband Bruce was in the bed beside Phil and you and I talked a few times. I didn't know your last name or it would have clicked. I wish I would have hugged you harder when I saw you last. You will always be in our hearts.

My little brother he was the baby of the family I will carry him in my heart till me meet again. I will always remember supporting his music sitting on the floor with him playing with his toys.Walking with him to the store to get candy.Watching him and his brother Armand playing baseball.I will keep in my heart his Beaty face and baby blue eyes and his blond curly hair.I will remember when mom was sick in the hospital and I had to sleep with him because he missed his mommy he said hold mom hand just like mommy does till I go to sleep. As he was falling asleep I kissed him on his little forehead and he turned a said you have soft hand just like mommy.I know your with mom and Dad and our brothers no more, not sick in heaven where you started .Remember me as I will hold you in my heart forever and always on my mind till me meet again little brother ,forever &always your big sister Susieloving you till we meet again
