Obituary of Dennis Arthur Metson

METSON, Dennis Passed away peacefully on May 3, 2022, in Windsor, ON at the age of 88 years. Loving friend of Catherine. Father to Leigh and Tony and grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by uncle Bob in England. Predeceased by his parents Sidney and Doris Metson. As a child, Dennis was evacuated from London during the war to Cornwall, UK. As a teenager, he enlisted in the British Royal Navy and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After he moved to Canada, Dennis worked as an Engineer at Motor Wheel in Chatham and Ford Motor Company in Windsor. In his retirement, Dennis loved to travel on his sailboat and enjoyed walking his dog, Jack. He, along with his friend Catherine, also traveled through Europe for about 5 years. As per Dennis’ wishes, cremation has taken place and his remains will be brought back to Cornwall, UK. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice (Wyandotte) 519-254-2585.
