Obituary of Jeffrey Clayton Laurie

With much love, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Laurie, age 57, on April 16, 2022, after complications with continuing health challenges. Jeff, of Bellcreft Beach near Harrow, Ontario, is lovingly remembered by his siblings Phil (Marie), Jo-Anne Neilson (Mark), Ken of Alcona ON, and brothers Bob Masse (Sylvain) of Montreal, Karl Maeckeler, and Perry Maeckeler, many nieces, nephews and four surviving Aunts. Predeceased by the late Leonard Laurie (2012) and Rita Laurie (2017), and Mother Barbara Mackenzie (2016). Jeff is fondly remembered as a very caring school bus driver for disabled children in the Harrow area as well as his love for hockey with his buddies. “Scarecrow” was a MVP blue-liner and was always excited to get out on the ice for a skate. He was most peaceful when outside his home near the beach where migratory bird paths were highways of wonder. He loved his many dogs over the years, especially beloved companion, (American Bulldog) Crash. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Choice (Wyandotte) 519-254-2585. A private cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held at a future date. If desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jeff.
