Dear loved ones, I met Dennis at Wayne State University in Detroit, in 1964, when we were both in the Student Education Club for a few years, I graduated and went on to Ohio University for a master's degree and Dennis began his career. The last time I saw Dennis was in August 2012, when I was visiting relatives in Detroit. He came over from Windsor and we spent a few happy hours together. During the almost 50 years between the time we met and the last time we saw each other, we managed to stay connected. He lived with me in Aspen for a while, then he and a childhood friend lived together in Huntington Beach. He and another friend of mine (Richard Schimpf) met and traveled together in foreign lands. I visited he and Lynda on my way to Montreal one year. Most recently we played Words with Friends every day for years, up until the earlier this year. Dennis was a unique human. He was bright, creative, humorous, imaginative. I loved reading his musings, poetry and essays.I admired his search for the spiritual in live, his appreciation of nature, his love of dear Lynda. Today( May 30, 2022) out of curiosity, I googled him, and found his obituary. Knowing he has had cancer for many years, then not hearing from him much at all this year, his death wasn't a total surprise. My condolences to all who loved him and and his fictional character, Dr Frijoles. I trust he left in peace. Ilene Kasper. If anyone reading this has more information about the circumstances of his passing, I would appreciate hearing from you. ileneKK@msn.com
