Anticipating a visit from Peter meant I could depend on that mischievous smile and a joke delivered with a wry chuckle.Peter could give a joke, and he could also take a joke.He earned a nick-name from me that I regularly goaded him with ,and he good-humouredly tolerated it….here’s the story. Peter was proud to be known as a good fisherman. For many years he even fished solo in his own boat in Windsor. He also had a huge love of photography and movies, eventually doing A LOT of downloading and sharing of media from the internet. Due to his fishing and internet piracy Peter ended up being dubbed “Pirate Pete”.He jovially bore the ongoing teasing he received by way of birthday cards and e-mails displaying his excellent good humour. Throughout his life Peter utilized his humour and determination to forward his parents’ desire to turn their lives around by coming to Canada. Never one to brag,Peter excelled in his career. He was quick to navigate and create within complex technical parameters. In his leisure time he liked to share lakefront cottage fun and the joy of outdoors. He combined this joy with his passion for good food and cooking. He eventually became a gourmet BBQer.The Lipinski’s always had great meals Peter and Andrea’s collaborations. In their family life Peter’s constant and deep involvement factored greatly.Teamwork and Love was the foundation. They all carried the challenges together ,and bravely took on whatever responsibilities came. Peter had a tenacious ability to turn things around and surmount the challenges of life with intelligence ,courage and humour. Happy Sailing Peter! Dale
