Obituary of James Roy "Jim" Thompson

THOMPSON, James Roy "Jim" April 16, 1942 - April 6, 2022 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Jim on April 6, 2022, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Sharon (nee Renaud) for 57 years. Cherished father of Ross and Michele Thompson. Proud grandfather of Dr. Kadie Koolwick, Jessica Koolwick, and Devan Thompson (Claudia), and great grandfather of Iris Sharon. Dear brother of the late Gerald Thompson (Elaine), the late Grace Davis, Jean Ryan (Guy), and Margaret Soulliere (Greg). Brother-in-law of Sonny Renaud, Ron Renaud (Carol), and the late Dolores Graff. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Nettie Thompson. Jim will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. After proudly working for the City of Windsor - Public Works for over 30 years, Jim retired at 51 years old. He loved playing Texas Hold 'em and enjoyed fishing. Jim fought a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's, and we would like to thank the staff at Heron Terrace - Lookout Point, for their care and compassion to both Jim and his family.
