Obituary of Robert Michael Joseph Doyle

DOYLE, Robert Michael Joseph May 7, 1954 - March 31, 2022 Passed away on March 31st, 2022. Son of the late Robert J Doyle and Theresa Madeline Doyle (nee Carley). Brother to Dolores (Marc Maillett), John (Sandy) and Maureen. Partner to his beloved Linda. Uncle Bob to Maddie (John), Nadine (Stephane), Shawn and Colin. Bobo to Aimee (Neil), Kailyn, Meghan, Grace, and Dean (Kari), Isobel. Worked as a Med Lab Tech which allowed him to travel the world doing stints in Saskatchewan, Bahamas, Saudi Arabia and then to Detroit. Bob retired from Henry Ford Hospital department of Pathology/Microbiology in 2018. An avid scuba diver, Bob became a NAUI instructor working part time at Unexso in Freeport Bahamas. After taking advanced courses in dive medicine, dive rescue, and decompression diving he became involved with Bahamas Air Sea Rescue and their recompression facility. He also loved playing Rugby for the Freeport club. As a devoted boater he loved taking friends and family for a day of diving, tubing, wakeboarding, fishing or swimming. He was also a golfer, beer leaguer hockey, chef, hiker, underwater photographer and reader/teller of good stories. Friend to the end with the Big Tourney group, Bahama boys, Condo girls, Lakeview marina buds, and HFH micro crew. Profound thanks to Dr Gupta, Dr Hermiz, and all the Cancer Centre staff, Filomena & Bayshore/LINN staff. Special thanks to Linda Britton, his two angels Willie and Shelley, and the remarkable team at the Windsor hospice. As per Bob’s wishes cremation has taken place.
