We have such happy memories of Mary when we all lived on 9th Ave A E in Owen Sound. We all moved into the neighbourhood at the same time. We knew if Mary’s front door was “open”….you were welcome to come in….if not…..come back later. There were countless “happy hours” around the pool. Our grandkids were welcome to enjoy her pool BUT obey Mary’s rules. They soon learned that she meant what she said. We had wonderful times with Mary in Florida…sometimes driving to and from Florida together. When we decided to move to Hanover, Mary opened her house to us in between the time we had to move out of our house and we could move into our house in Hanover. Our lives were richer knowing Mary. Her house was open to everyone. She will be missed by many people. Sending Sue, Wayne, Nick, Jan and families our deepest sympathy. Carolyn & Bill Pearson

We remember how Mary welcomed us when we moved in next door in May 2013. She often pretended to be miserable and brusque, especially in the morning but we soon learned it was an act and that she was a softie inside and she became a good friend and neighbour and we certainly missed her when she moved away. -and still do. Our condolences to Mary's family and friends. Ann and Bob Miller
