Obituary of John David Haynes

HAYNES, John David 1944 - 2022 John was born in Sudbury on June 28, 1944 to Mabel Elizabeth "Beth" and Arthur Haynes. He died in Leamington on February 11, 2022. He is survived by his wife Patricia (nee Brown) of Kingsville, his brother Barry (Carrol) of New Mexico, Robert (Kathryn) of Sudbury, and David of Finwick, brother in law Robert Brown (Carole) of Kingsville, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother William "Bill", sisters in law Dorothy Epplett (the late Fred), and Nancy Smith (the late James). John taught for the Sudbury Board of Education for 35 years at Nesbitt Public School and Confederation Secondary School where he was department head of art. He taught art and was also a practicing artist and art collector. He loved teaching and always had fond memories of his students. As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place. a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donation would be gratefully appreciated and accepted by the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, or the Unitarian Universalist Church of Olinda.
