LAPAIN, William Kenneth May 29, 1932 - January 30, 2022 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89 on January 30, 2022. Born in McGregor, William was the son of the late William and the late Clara Lapain. Cherished husband of 40 years to Gail Lapain (nee McCallum). Beloved father to Juanita Loucks (Dave), Madonna Laporte (Kenny), Carmen Arquette (Kimberly), and Colette Wallace (the late Grant). Proud grandpa to Matt Loucks (Brynn), Ashley Oriet, Priscilla Laporte (Kyle Barnwell), Nicole Laporte, Quinton Arquette (fiancee Melanie Lefaive), Tyler Wallace (fiancee Brianne Swintak), and Rebecca Wallace and great-grandpa to Aiden, Nora, Lukas, Natalie, Michael, and Vivianne. Forever remembered by his sister Amy (the late Leonard), and predeceased by his siblings Kenneth (Kitty), Orville (survived by Stella), Earl (the late Rita, Edna, and Verna), Mary (Lorne), Bernard, and Theresa. Survived by his in-laws Joyce Taylor (Owen), Ruby (the late Bob Knight), and John McCallum (Sherron) and predeceased by Kenneth McCallum (Pat), and Marjorie Bailey (Don). Survived by his children Willy and Marilou Lapain and grandchildren Shauna and Ashley. William will also be dearly missed by his extended family and friends. William lived life to the fullest, always keeping himself occupied with endless hours working on his farm or flying all over North America having obtained his private pilots license in the 1940s. In his retirement, William spent his time perfecting his immaculate garden, spending time with his grandchildren, and woodworking anything anyone could ever imagine. He put everyone else's needs before his own, making sure that his family had everything they could ever need, even if it was simply a shoulder to lean on. William will be remembered for his kind and patient spirit and will be so dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Richmond Terrace, 3 West for their wonderful care. As per William's wishes, cremation has taken place.
