Obituary of Terence "Terry" McDonald

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Terry McDonald announces his passing at the age of 78 on September 11, 2021. Born in North Shields, England, Terry was the son of the late Michael and Rena (nee Thompson) McDonald. Loving husband of 58 years to Janice McDonald. Cherished father to Kevin McDonald (Sandy), David McDonald, Michelle Short (Chris), and the late Paul McDonald (1963). Missed by Cathie Rockett. Proud grandpa to Kaylee Rockett (Mark), Amy Rockett, Kelsey McDonald, James Short, and McKenzie Short. Beloved great-grandpa to Riley Rockett. Terry will be fondly remembered by his siblings Mavis Hennessey (the late Bill), Brenda Kalvik (Brian), Colin McDonald (Brenda), and Jean Ornsby (Ken). Predeceased by his siblings Myra Watkins, Michael McDonald, and Pat Morris. Dear brother-in-law to Sonja Fogget (Eddie). Terry will also be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends. A founding member of the Amherstburg Oldtimers, Terry was an avid sportsman with a passion for every sport. He was a devoted coach, team member, and England's Sunderland and the Toronto Maple Leafs biggest fan. Terry was also an avid traveler. Him and his wife Janice shared many adventures traveling and residing in many different countries all over the globe.
