Obituary of Virginia Claire McFarland

McFARLAND, Virginia Claire September 20, 1959 - August 29, 2021 It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia McFarland (formerly Laporte) announces her passing at the age of 61. Virginia passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2021. Born in Windsor, Virginia was the daughter of the late James "Jim" and the late Lois (nee Avery) McFarland. Cherished mother to Brendan Laporte and wife Kerry. Beloved Grandma Ginger to Chaeli, Emma, and Aibhlinn. Fondly remembered by her siblings Colleen (Brian), Michael (Debbie), Elizabeth, Hector (Robbin), Carolyn, and Thomas (Margit). Virginia will also be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Cancer Clinic, Erie Shores Hospice, and the Imeson family for their care and compassion. As per Virginia's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Should family or friends desire, donations made in memory of Virginia may be made to Erie Shores Hospice or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
