Obituary of Jonah Russell Revenberg
REVENBERG, Jonah Russell September 29, 1995 - August 2, 2021 Some people would say at 25, you've lived a short life. I would disagree. Life is what you make of it, and if you ask anyone who's known me, my life has been anything but short. For those who don't know me, I was born with Cockayne Syndrome. This is a very rare growth disorder that has a short lifespan attached to it. With my unique situation, I have learned to appreciate the small things, and because of that, have been blessed with the best outlook on life. My favourite sport is hockey. Whether I was watching the Spitfires with my family or playing it myself with the Windsor Ice Bullets, I lived and breathed hockey. There wasn't really anything I couldn't do. If I wanted to do yoga, I was dragging my mom to come with me; if I wanted to play video games, my brother was by my side ready to play. Although I have lived my short but long life to the fullest, there are many people I will miss. My mom Aimee Russell, dad Jim Revenberg, and brother Josh Revenberg whom I loved so much. I know I will forever be loved and adored by my 3 little sisters, grandparents, and many extended family members and friends. My family was my rock. As well, I always looked forward to seeing my good friend and caregiver Tammy Mullins. I am so thankful that she was a part of my life for 10 years. There are so many people who've made an impact on me and will always have a place in my heart. I want to thank all the staff at Hospice of Windsor; you were so kind, and helpful to both me and my family. If anyone would like to donate on my behalf, please send those to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County. As per Jonah's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Dougall) 519-254-2585. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.simplechoicecremation.ca
