Obituary of Giuseppe "Joe" Monaco

MONACO, Giuseppe "Joe" August 13, 1944 - July 11, 2021 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Giuseppe "Joe" Monaco announces his passing on July 11, 2021 at the age of 76 years. He passed away peacefully at Hospice surrounded by his loved ones. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Pauline, and his children, Frank (Cathy), Philip (Lyza), his Bella Mia, and sidekick Maria. Joe was a proud Nonno to Alexa, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Madison and Step-Nonno to Matthew, Bridgette, and Brendan. Joe is reunited with his beloved brothers Nino, Sebastiano, and Giovanni, and survived by his siblings Rocco (from Sicily) and Dina (from Sicily). Joe was an avid gardener that loved the enjoyment and tranquility of tending to his amazing flowers, vegetable garden, and fruit trees. His passion was enjoyed by his family as there was never a shortage of fresh vegetables at the dinner table. The family wishes to thank Dr. Burgess and all his staff, VON, St. Elizabeth, and Respite for all the care and support of these last few months that allowed us to keep Joe home until the last week before his passing. As per Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Private Family Service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice (Dougall), 519-254-2585.
