Obituary of Jack Rodger Schroeder
SCHROEDER, Jack Rodger Jack was born May 6, 1942, in Espanola, ON to John and Ethel Schroeder (deceased). He passed away peacefully on June 11, 2021, with family at his side. Jack was small but mighty. He fought a hard battle with Alzheimer’s for many years. Jack leaves behind his loving wife, Michelle (Pilon), who shared many exciting adventures together for 57 years. He was a proud and loving father to Robert (Laurie), Roger, Rosanne Skoyles (Scott), and Jack Jr. He always had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Jake, Nicole, Adam, Eric, Danielle, Jenna, Tristan, and Danielle (Dan), and great-grandchildren Aiden and Troy. Brother-in-law to Jacques, Marie (Tom), Andre (the late Linda), Rheo (Sharon), and special uncle to Michael, Glenn, Tom, and Mark. From a young age, Jack was a successful entrepreneur who persevered in his business adventures with excitement and dedication. He eventually retired from the boating industry where he will always be remembered and respected. Jack found his passion after he bought his first boat, which led to buying Holiday Harbour Marina, ultimately piloting his craft to establish Clearwater Boat Sales. Jack also loved his hobby of carpentry, from renovating their homes to building furniture for his family. He will be extremely missed by his family and there will be a heaviness in their hearts forever, but they are comforted in knowing he is now at peace. Words can’t say enough how we appreciate the care and kindness Jack received at Richmond Terrace and the dedicated support from the Alzheimer’s Society. Thank you to all our family and friends for the endless love and support we have received over many challenging years and continue to receive during this time of grief. Jack was a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Any donations would be appreciated for St. Vincent de Paul of Amherstburg or the Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor. As per Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice (Amherstburg) 519-254-2585. A private family service will take place Thursday, June 17th.
