Obituary of Jim Kelly

KELLY, Jim "Beep" December 18, 1961 - June 10, 2021 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was welcomed into the Lord's arms, greeted by his Mother Diane Kelly Murtagh (2015) & sister Carrie Kelly (2013). Cherished husband and best friend of Denise. Loving Father of Brooke, Jennifer, and Jay Ruby. Beloved son of James E. Kelly (Colleen Jones). Proud Pepe to Hanaa, Hailey, Abby, Jessy, and Kira, and the late Rory (2015). Beloved brother of Judy Ziriada (Chris), Michelle Wilson (Rob). Dear son-in-law of Richard & the late Annette McCann (2018). Beloved brother in law of Shelley McCann (Scott Durocher), Ron (Wanda) Woodrich, Robert, and Richard Woodrich. Loving Uncle to Amanda, Dillon, and Riley McCann, Wayne Woodrich, Bianca Montaleone (Pat), C.J. Ziriada (Natalie), Carolyn Humphrey (Devin), and Miles Kelly. Jim leaves behind many extended family members and friends. He loved his fur babies Rocky, Stella & Lexi. Predeceased by his stepfather Jack Murtagh (2019). Special thank you to his best friend George Wight and his Aunt Kathy & Uncle Don Daly that were always just a phone call away. We would also like to thank the Hospice Triage Nurses, Dr. Carghill, Dr. Bergeron, and Doug his personal nurse who came to see him. Jim had a heart of gold and always had a smile on his face in good times and in bad times. He put the roof over many families heads for 30 plus years. He spent many years roofing. He loved to play poker, fish and have a few beers after work at his favorite hang outs. Thank you to Pat, Chantelle, and Jay from Lucky's Roadhouse for putting on the fundraiser for Jim, as well as his work family at AWC for their generous donations. Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of Jim's life will take place at a later date. Any donations can be directed to a charity of your choice or Hospice Of Windsor and Essex County. As per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to SIMPLE CHOICE (Wyandotte) 519-254-2585.
