Obituary of Gim Gwee "Jean" Lam

LAM, Gim Gwee "Jean" August 3, 1937 - October 26, 2022 With great sadness, we announce the passing of Gim Gwee (“Jean”) Lam. She passed away peacefully in Windsor, Ontario on October 26, 2022 at the age of 85. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Wai-Ping (W. P.) Lam. She will be dearly missed by her three children Gloria, Lambert (Valerie), and Angela. Her three grandchildren Victoria, Elliot and Vivienne cherish the time she spent with them. Jean was born in China and lived a full and dynamic life in Hong Kong and Canada. It included teaching, running a family restaurant, raising three children, supporting Lam’s career, helping with three grandchildren, and volunteer work. She was an avid gardener, crafter, and cook, and was known to have a soup in her repertoire for any ailment. More than anything, she loved a good bargain when shopping. With her husband and friends, Jean traveled all over the world, including Iceland, Ireland, Argentina, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and New Zealand, collecting souvenirs and wonderful memories. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
