Obituary of Aurora Elizabeth Pouget

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Aurora “Rory” Pouget (nee Anderson) on October 19, 2022 in her home in Windsor, Ontario, at the age of 70 years. Loved always by her husband of 48 years, Roger Pouget. She was a self-less and supportive mother to Scott Pouget and Jennifer Drouillard (Michael Drouillard). Cherished and fun-loving “Nana” to Madison, Paige and Mackenzie. Devoted sister to Roger “Reg” Anderson (Mary Henderson). One-of-a-Kind Aunt to Wayne Bendyk (Nancy Bendyk) and Peter Bendyk (Vicky Bendyk). Great Aunt to Jesse, Justin, Hailey, Kalvin and Ryan. Predeceased by her parents, Roger and Elizabeth Anderson; her brother, Mark Anderson and her sister, Debra Bridgewater. Rory was a dedicated hockey fan and was known most for her carefree spirit. She always had an opinion and was never afraid to share it. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends, especially her life-long companion, Flo Wilson. As per Rory's wishes, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Simple Choice Cremation (Dougall) 519-254-2585. Rory was never one for funerals. She wouldn’t want people to sit around and mourn her with black clothing and tears. She would want people to celebrate all that was her and laugh about the crazy stuff that happened over the years. To respect her wishes, we have decided against a formal funeral and instead will hold a “Celebration of Life” in her honour. This is an open house event. Please feel free to stop in anytime between 1:00-5:00pm to say goodbye to this amazing wife, mother, Nana, sister and friend. Light refreshments will be available.
